Hi, I’m Dr. Fran
I’m an ObGyn, mother of 3, and an online educator passionate about sharing real, evidence-based women’s health information.
I’ve been creating content online for the past decade. For six years, and throughout all of medical school, I wrote a style blog called Franish, where I shared my day to day style as a medical student. Once I started my ObGyn residency, I spent 80+ hours a week working and only wearing scrubs, so my online content creation really stopped for four years.
In 2021, after I graduated from residency, I started to spend a lot of time scrolling on TikTok, and saw lot of content around obstetrics & gynecology…and a lot of it was incorrect. Feeling comfortable with content creation, and having just finished the most in depth ObGyn training, I felt like…who better to address this misinformation than me?
I started regularly posting on TikTok at the end of 2021, and by mid 2022, had grown to over 100,000 followers. By the end of 2024, my overall follower count across social media has grown to over a million. I feel strongly about my role as an educator online, and am thankful every day to have the reach I do to share evidence-based medicine with the masses.
In my real life job, I work for a large healthcare system in western New York. My practice focuses on high risk obstetrics, hormone management including PCOS and menopause treatment, and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, most often laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomies.
In my personal life, I married my medical school anatomy lab partner, who now works as a family medicine physician. We have three beautiful children, who are the light of my life.
